Born in the Alps of Austria in a time where the fledging European Alpine ski tourism industry was booming, Hanne was continuously surrounded by incredible natural beauty. She lived an active outdoor lifestyle in the mountains and experienced the diversity that European cultures have to offer. After moving to Australia 30 years ago, Hanne was struck by the stark contrast of the two countries and started her path to a career as a professional artist. With marriage, three children and years of regular travel, her influences have been many and varied which drives her imagery and form.

 

Hanne was always drawn to beautiful and creative forms. She is constantly learning new forms and techniques and recently completed the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program.  Creating intuitive and inspiring art, Hanne uses mix media including ink, mark-making, acrylic, spray painting, collage and oils. Hanne says, ‘When I am in the ‘flow’ I can paint for hours and create beautiful works. This makes me happy and I want to influence the world to be a better place.

 

Based in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Hanne is busy producing a large portfolio that is growing constantly. She works from a large studio overlooking a beautiful garden, with lots of natural light. Her family is everything to her and her happiest times are with her husband and three daughters. She is excited to have more studio openings to share her art with the community.

My passion to create art that moves people is what drives my desire to continually produce art and release it into the world. I am drawn to beauty in nature and have and will continue to produce art that is sympathetic to our natural world, using mixed media. Injustices in this world affect me immensely and my art communicates who I am and what I stand for."
